TEENAGE prodigy Kiran Matharu has paid tribute to Ryder Cup captain NickFaldo for helping to rescue her dream of playing on the LPGA Tour.
Matharu, 18, was in danger of being left stranded during the qualifyingtournament for next year's Tour when her father, Amarjit, had to rush home fromthe United States to be with his dying sister.
But Faldo, who has followed Matharu's career since she won his junior series bya record margin three years ago, heard of his protege's predicament andarranged for one of his employees, Kerry McDonald, to fly to Florida to be herchaperone and caddie.
