The new fast link to Paris is just the boost this downtrodden areaneeded to become a vibrant place to live
Rundown King's Cross has been on the up lately. But it took last week's openingof the glamorous [pounds sterling]800million Eurostar terminal at St Pancras to put the heartback into this long downtrodden area - and turn it into one of the mosthappening parts of the capital.
The new high-speed rail link will whisk Eurostar passengers off to Paris injust two hours 15 minutes. But so beautifully restored and cleverly modernisedis the Grade I listed station that it is set to be an exciting destination inits own right.
