Leave it to Brian De Palma to go straight for the ugly with his Iraq war movie, "Redacted."

Using all the modern media he could digest -- personal camcorders, sanitized news reports, nausea-green filtered night vision, Jihadi Web sites, French TV exposes (for some reason) -- our greatest visual regurgitator whips up a fake documentary that's chillingly realistic and depressingly unforgiving.
