BEIJING, Nov 20 Asia Pulse - The purchase price of new cotton in China's major cotton producing provinces and autonomous regions fluctuated narrowly and was basically stable in mid-November. It is expected the purchase price of cotton will drop slightly in the near term.

In mid-November, the purchase price of 328-grade cotton in major producing areas averaged 642.96 yuan (US$87) per 50 kilograms, basically equal to the level in early November and up 4.71 per cent from early October. The purchase price in Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hunan and Shaanxi provinces rose 0.23-4.49 per cent, while that in Hebei, Shanxi, Hubei, Gansu and Xinjiang dropped. ...
