PHOENIX, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) and the Arizona Diamondbacks announced today a financial partnership and exclusive 10-year marketing venture. As part of the agreement, America West will invest $5 million to purchase approximately 5% of the equity in the AZPB Limited Partnership, the owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks Major League Baseball franchise, and the Arizona Diamondbacks will make America West its official airline, including all team charter services and most other travel purchases, aircraft advertising and exclusive airline sponsorship in all media for the duration of the pact.
