Russian grain harvest up 4.1% in early November - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Russia had harvested 86.3 million tonnes of grain in initial weight as of early November, or 4.1% more than at the same time a year ago, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Tuesday.
Grain has been harvested from 90.7% of the planted area, while corn has been harvested from 75.6% of the planted area.
The sunflower harvest totaled 5.5 million tonnes as of early November, down 11.4% from the same period of 2006. Sunflowers have been harvested from 89.8% of the planted area.
