GLEN COVE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 10, 1995--For the first time in the company's history, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKLM) announced today that its recent software release, D's Dining Table, had achieved the number one position in Japan based on the first two weeks of retail sales. The Sega Saturn title marks the entry into the next-generation video game market by Acclaim Japan, Ltd., the company's Japanese subsidiary. Acclaim has worldwide rights to the title for Sega's Saturn, Sony's PlayStation and PC CD-ROM systems. A version of the title compatible with the Sony system is expected to be released in Japan later this year.
