NEW YORK -- While many of his countrymen maintain that American women lack style, Herve Leger says au contraire.
"I think they're more conscious of clothes and fashion than European women," Leger says. "They like to take risks. When my business started to take off five years ago, it all started from Americans. They love things that are new and exciting."
Just off the plane from Paris, the affable, 38-year-old French designer will mingle with sone of his American customers at a presentation of his fall and resort collections today at Saks Fifth Avenue.
