Five minutes into Noah Baumbach's authentically unpleasant "Margot at the Wedding," teen boy Claude (newcomer Zane Pais) leaves the company of his hateful mother, Margot (Nicole Kidman).
They're on a train trip to the wedding of Margot's sister, Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh), and the kid needs a little space.
Claude heads to the small, outdoor area between train cars and screams at the top of his lungs. His frustration is so great that it's able to surmount and surpass the roar of the train.
Watching "Margot," you soon wonder what took the boy so long.
