Computer-to-plate (CTP) technology, U.S. printers' reports from the Drupa '95 show in Germany, and direct-to-press imaging dominated the discussions at the 1995 Sheetfed Conference, which drew about 400 participants when it was held recently in Chicago.

Speakers and attendees also talked about the competition from electronic media, the business situation posed by the national economy, the success of on-press enhancements, and topics ranging from pricing and customer satisfaction to training and environmental issues.
