What have you done or are you planning on doing to thank the trees on your property this Thanksgiving Day? Are trees deserving of your thanks? Indeed they are! They shade us in summer; break the force of cold winds in winter; capture vast quantities of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, and manufacture pure oxygen into the air. Trees filter pollutants, toxins, and particle matter out of the air. They provide us with fruits, nuts, berries, bird shelters and beauty, and this is only the short list.
