They hype the best, ignore the worst and might make you feel like a year-end loser.
But while holiday family form letters can turn off some readers, more than half of recipients welcome them, according to a recent study.
"It surprised me," said Alex Algard, founder and chief executive of WhitePages.com, which commissioned the poll. "People either love them or hate them. Personally, I like receiving longer form letters."
They're boastful, lauding every family accomplishment, no matter how small.
They're tedious, recording every movement, no matter how minute.
