A LUTTERWORTH preschool is closing next month because of new Government rules about the number of hours it must provide.

Pavilion Preschool, in Coventry Road, currently shares its facilities with a number of other groups and is open for 12 hours a week.

However, new Government legislation, which comes into force in 2010 but is being trialled early in Leicestershire, means the preschool would have to provide at least 15 hours a week for its children to qualify for free sessions.
