THE leaking of McLaren's legal dossier on the Renault spying allegations yesterday is certain to drive Fernando Alonso away from Flavio Briatore - at least until after the verdict, but probably for good.
Yesterday the Spaniard's manager, Luis Garcia Abad, said he was in no hurry to complete a deal, in spite of Briatore giving him until yesterday to say yea or nay. Earlier this week, it was reported that Renault's offer "did not enthuse" the Alonso camp.
Perhaps he got an early look at the dossier and felt an overwhelming sense of deja vu.
Yesterday, a copy of dossier was leaked to the Daily Mail and, if it is proven at the World Motor Sport ...
