Aurora Flight Sciences, a designer and developer of advanced unmanned aircraft and other advanced aerospace vehicles, has acquired Payload Systems, Inc. (PSI), a science and engineering services firm for spaceflight and terrestrial applications.
Aurora said that PSI, which is based in Cambridge, Mass., will become part of its research and development (R&D) center in the same city. "Payload Systems has extremely strong ties with MIT, which is a key objective of our R&D Center," John Langford, president of Aurora, said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
