NEWBERRY, S.C. - "Everybody wants to talk about SEERs," says Robert Hazel, owner of Hazel Heating & Air Conditioning.
The kind of consumer awareness, plus a higher-efficiency "Value Series" of Lennox residential hvac systems, is boosting his retrofit business in this small Midlands city of central South Carolina.
"Customers know a lot more than they used to" about heating and air conditioning efficiency, he says. Utility companies have helped build that awareness, although Hazel says he still has to explain exactly what `the SEER figures represent.
