SEOUL, Nov 27 Asia Pulse - Paring earlier losses, South Korean stocks closed higher Tuesday as investor sentiment was improved by expectations that a fund injection to Citigroup would ease a global credit crunch, analysts said. The local currency ended flat against the greenback.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 4.46 points, or 0.24 per cent, to 1,859.79. Volume was moderate at 327.6 million shares worth 7.3 trillion won (US$7.85 billion), but losers outnumbered gainers 496 to 309.
