The formation of the Central Alberta branch of the Historical Society of Alberta on January 26, 1995, at the Red Deer & District Museum & Archives, was the culmination of correspondence with the Society and the preliminary plans made by a steering committee chaired by Allan Armstrong. Thus the year 2007 marks the twelfth anniversary of the Central Alberta Historical Society (CAHS) at the same time that it marks the 100th anniversary of the HSA.
For this historic occasion in 1995, HSA president Jim Mackie, vice-president Sheila Johnston, Lougheed House Committee representative Marg Exton, and HSA coordinator Uta Fox came from Calgary while HSA vice-president ...
