THE leaders of the U.S., Israel and the Palestinians sealed an agreementyesterday to try to bring peace to the Middle East by the end of next year.
President George Bush, Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinianpresident Mahmoud Abbas shook hands symbolically at the start of aninternational conference on the Middle East.
The deal was struck after lengthy lastminute talks on a joint document meant tochart the course for negotiating the toughest 'final status' issues of theconflict.
