The film version of Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel "The Kite Runner" isn't slated to open in the Capital Region until Dec. 21, but Schenectady moviegoers will get a sneak preview at 7 p.m. Monday at Bow Tie Cinema.
The screening is being held in conjunction with Schenectady County's "One County, One Book" program, which selected Hosseini's book as its community-wide reading assignment for 2008.
The theater is located at 400 State St. The screening is free, but tickets must be picked up on a first-come, first-served basis at the reference desk any of the Schenectady County Public Library's nine branches.
