GE Foundation grant aids transition service program expansion.(General Electric Foundation)

The journey from service member to civilian is difficult enough for those separating from the military without a disability. For those who have become disabled as a consequence of their service, the difficulty is compounded.

But a new $1.5 million grant from the GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of General Electric Company, to the DAV is aimed at making this transition easier for disabled veterans and their families.

By supporting the DAV's Transition Service Program, the grant will allow our Transition Service Officers (TSOs) to reach a greater number of America's troops at the earliest stage of transition to veteran status. ...
