THE new RNLI Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh will open to the public on Tuesday, December 18, following its [pounds sterling]1.5 million redevelopment.
The old museum closed two years ago for the major redevelopment project, which saw all but the front facade of the building demolished to make way for the new two-storey museum.
The new museum has improved access, much more space and better conditions for storing and displaying the unique Grace Darling collection. It also includes an education, research and community room, a shop, and will provide 'hands-on' opportunities for learning, research, talks and special events. The museum will be managed by ...
