TROY - The 254-foot-long Washington Place is showing its age, as potholes and blacktop patches mar the Belgian block that pavers installed in the 1840s on Washington Park's south side.
But Washington Place will be looking better after the Washington Park Association and City Hall reached agreement on ownership of the historic street, one of the few streets in the Capital Region still with its original granite blocks in place.
"Everything will be repaired," said Lynn Kopka, president of the Washington Park Association.
