Ken Rancourt is the director of summit operations at the Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Located on top of the highest peak in the Northeast United States, the Observatory is a private, nonprofit, scientific and educational institution that studies climate and weather by maintaining a mountaintop weather station, conducting research and educational programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region.
