ABSTRACT

This paper explores and compares different data replications techniques generally utilized by organizations as well as the benefits accrued from them. A detailed discussion of mobile databases in relation to their applications is outlines as well as the need for data replication in mobile devices. Two types of mobile network infrastructures namely peer-to-peer and client server are briefly mentioned and related to a detailed analysis of the different data replication techniques, timelines, and security of the data in order to establish the appropriate data replication techniques suitable to an organization.
