TEDDY BEAR teacher Gillian Gibbons was on her way back to Britain from the hell of her ordeal in Sudan last night.
Muslim fanatics in the African country wanted the mum-of-two executed for innocently allowing her class of primary schoolkids to call their teddy Mohammed, the name of Islam's prophet.
But after 48 hours of gruelling talks with the Sudanese regime, two British Muslim peers yesterday persuaded the president to pardon her.
And Gillian, 54, was last night driven to Khartoum airport in a British Embassy ...
