CARACAS, Venezuela, Nov. 30, 2007 (IPS/GIN) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Ch vez does not have overwhelming support for his latest pet project, a major constitutional reform, but pollsters say it's still possible that voters will ratify the reform on Sunday.
The referendum will determine whether the reform of 69 of the 350 articles of the constitution, which was rewritten under Ch vez and approved by a popular vote in a 1999 referendum, will come into effect.
In promoting the proposed constitutional amendments, Ch vez has said that a "No" vote in Sunday's referendum would be a vote against him and a "Yes" vote would be for ...
