JAKARTA, Dec 05 Asia Pulse - Indonesia's fishery and maritime ministry said the country's shrimp production is expected to fall far short of the target of 410,000 tons this year.

There is no significant increase expected from last year's production of 327,260 tons, breeding fishery director general Made L. Nurdjana said.

Nurdjana attributed the lower than expected performance to little interest shown by investors in the sector.
