CRIME prevention advice has been offered to motorists following a spate of thefts from vehicles in Peterborough.
Officers are asking drivers to ensure nothing is left on display in cars, particularly those left in Peterborough city centre, Bretton Centre and Hampton car parks.
Detective Inspector Mark Smith said: "Over the last week we have seen an increase in the number of thefts from vehicles. Motorists must pay attention and think about what they are leaving on display in their cars.
"Your car is like a shop window to thieves - all that stands between them and your things is a pane of glass.
