They'll be rolling out the green carpet at the Shrine Auditorium this week to usher in the city's newest film festival, and, no, this has nothing to do with the venue's signature red rug requiring a decent cleaning.
Since the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival -- opening tonight and continuing through the 15th -- honors the "exploration and preservation of our planet," green is the color of choice.
"The festival is meant to live in big cities where people sometimes forget about environmental issues because they're stuck in everyday lives," says co-creator Frederic Dieudonne. "They forget about it, and they don't have a chance to ...
