PITTSBURGH, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Koppers Industries, Inc., has entered into a letter of intent with Aristech Chemicals to purchase Aristech's coal chemicals business including its Tarben plant in Clairton, PA. The transaction is subject to a number of conditions, including the execution of a definitive purchase agreement and appropriate corporate and other approvals. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
