ABSTRACT
In this case study, the writers researched North Alabama college students' knowledge of and willingness to purchase hybrid vehicles via a survey administered to a convenience sample of 200 North Alabama university students. The results show that the majority of university students have at least heard about hybrid cars and know what they are. They also know the sources of fuels used in these cars. Students who are considering purchasing hybrid cars believe the main benefits of hybrid vehicles are contributing to less dependence on foreign oil and promoting a cleaner environment rather than saving money on gasoline.
