WHEN Bill Vaine was told by doctors he was 'obese' he decided to do something about it.
So he walked the three peaks - on his 70th birthday.
At 69-years-old, and just under 14 stones, Bill was worried that being unhealthy could make him more susceptible to illness or even worse, a heart-attack.
On hearing the news at a routine health-check, Bill, from Gomersal, joined the Slimming World group at Brighton Street in Heckmondwike.
Bill said: "I did something about it straight away. I joined Slimming World and linked this with walking. About seven months ago, I came up with the idea to walk the three peaks of Yorkshire on my 70th birthday! ...
