R&B Singer Once Offered Paula Abdul's Job on 'Idol'
NEW YORK, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- In the December 17 issue of Newsweek (on newsstands Monday, December 10), R&B singer Patti LaBelle reveals to Newsweek she was once offered Paula Abdul's job on American Idol but she turned it down because she didn't want to be mean. "I said no because I didn't want to be someone giving bad news by saying you didn't make it."
