Welsh farmers last night hit out at the "corporate greed" of supermarkets and dairy processors after companies were handed a pounds 116m fine for price fixing.
Sainsbury's, Asda and Safeway, along with processors Dairy Crest, Wiseman and The Cheese Company all admitted fixing the price of milk, cheese and butter and were fined more than pounds 116m in total after an investigation by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
The scandal is thought to have cost consumers about pounds 270m.
