PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1995-- Hewlett-Packard Company today announced that it has implemented a $1.4 million client/server computing solution at United Grain Growers Limited (UGG), Winnipeg, Manitoba. The new system, which replaces an IBM ES 9000 mainframe-based corporate computing system, is saving UGG close to $750,000 per year, thanks to enhanced system functionality and flexibility.
