NORTHBRIDGE - The Northbridge Housing Authority has notified selectmen there is a vacancy on the authority.
Lorraine M. Bell resigned from the authority Nov. 30. Ms. Bell's term would have expired in May.
She was elected on May 18, 2004, to serve the unexpired five-year term of Constance Gauthier, who died in 2003.
In accordance with the town's charter, the Northbridge Housing Authority notified selectmen of the vacancy, and asked selectmen to add the matter to their agenda for a joint appointment with the remaining members of the housing authority.
