access the information highway as a result of a data sales agreement between BellSouth Telecommunications and Open Communications Networks (OCN), Inc.
The trial agreement will allow OCN to market BellSouth's Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) service to residential customers. OCN plans to offer ISDN customer premises equipment and its other products and services with BellSouth's ISDN service, creating a one-stop shopping application.
ISDN, considered to be the best on-ramp to the information superhighway, allows consumers to transmit high-speed voice, data, fax and video between two locations simultaneously over a traditional telephone line.
