ADULT social services in Sheffield have been awarded the highest possible rating from the Government after being praised by inspectors.
A team from the Commission for Social Care Inspections, highlighted 99 achievements and just 25 areas for improvement - and the service has been given three stars.
Improvements to heath and emotional well-being of clients, improvements to quality of life, quality of leadership and use of resources were all classed as "excellent".
Increased freedom and control for service-users and the way personal dignity and respect were maintained were also deemed "good".
