Petition filed in SC against Mahindra group's SEZ in Jaipur
New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) -- A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging acquisition of land by the Rajasthan government for development of the 2,500-acre special economic zone (SEZ) by the Mahindra group.
The country's leading diversified corporate house is planning to develop the SEZ which aimed at attracting investments worth Rs 140 billion ($3 billion) and creating about 100,000 jobs in the state.
It may be noted that Mahindra & Mahindra had fortnight ago signed a deal with Deutsche Bank for setting up a global financial offshoring hub at SEZ in Jaipur.
