Daniel L. Hertz Jr. may be "old school'' in a lot of ways, but nobody will ever accuse him of living in the past.
The 77-year-old president, technical director and partner in Seals Eastern Inc. talks about how his company has continually had to reinvent itself to survive as a maker of precision molded seals for demanding applications. He hasn't been afraid to walk away from unprofitable business and push his firm into areas where its technical know-how will be an edge.
And he continues to run experiments that will help Seals Eastern move into more new markets that will take the company "up another level or two.''
