BATAVIA, Ill. -- Fuel Tech, Inc. (Nasdaq: FTEK) today announced that Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the Mexican national utility, has bestowed its Innovative Technology Award for 2007 to Fuel Tech and Double V Holding, S.A. de C.V. (Double V), a general contractor, in recognition of technology incorporated in sulfur trioxide (SO3) abatement equipment installed at CFE's Punta Prieta thermoelectric power plant in La Paz, Mexico.
