Poland's PM Donald Tusk signs Lisbon Treaty governing EU institutions
WARSAW. DECEMBER 13. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has signed the so-called Lisbon Treaty governing European Union institutions during an official ceremony in the Portuguese capital Thursday.
The new deal, agreed by EU's 27 member states in October, is aimed at updating the rules and institutions of the European Union following its enlargement over the past few years.
Poland requires a two-third majority in its parliament, or 307 votes, as well as presidential approval to ratify the treaty.
