SURGEONS have divided a Sunderland girl's brain in two to save her from a rare disease.
From the age of seven, Janine Leach's life was plagued by epileptic fits, at one point having 100 seizures a day.
The youngster, of Farringdon, was 11 when doctors discovered she had deadly brain disorder Rasmussen's encephalitis eating away at her brain.
