BOURNE'S players will have had nightmares following this local derby which was played in torrential rain.
How they contrived to lose a match they should have won easily will remain a mystery. Rarely can any side have dominated the opposition for 70 minutes yet still lost.
Bourne had 14 gilt-edged, clear-cut chances and also earned themselves nine penalty-corners. None were converted and they missed the chance to leap-frog Long Sutton in the Premier B table.
Positives must also be taken out of adversity and the fact that that so many chances were created proved that Bourne's general field-play was again good as it has been all season.
