Germany's Hochtief launches HUF 65 bln development project at Hungary's Ferihegy Airport

BUDAPEST. DECEMBER 14. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Germany's Hochtief AirPort, the owner of Budapest Airport (BA), the operator of Hungary's Ferihegy international airport, has launched its planned five-year development project of the airport, the company announced in a statement Friday.

"The implementation of the 'BUD Future' expansion and modernization program has finally begun," BA CEO Jost Lammers said. "As a result, Budapest Airport is to become the most successful airport in Central and Eastern Europe by 2011."
