Fed-up residents in Denton, who were promised improvements to a cul-de-sac 20 years ago, have presented a petition to Brian Binley, MP for Northampton South.
Almost 900 members of the community from Denton Primary School, Denton Dental Surgery and Denton Surgery Patients' Group, which set up the campaign, signed the petition to call for the county council to fix Vicarage Lane, which is covered in bumps and potholes.
Chairman of Denton Surgery Patients Group, Paul Gifford, 81, said: "The road is fairly awful and it keeps getting patched up. In 1982, the primary school was built and the council said it would rebuild the road but nothing has happened.
