Aug. 25--NationsBank Corp. has received a $502.2 million Department of Defense contract to provide worldwide military banking services that will be administered from San Antonio.
The corporation's Military Banking Group, at the NationsBank Fort Sam Houston branch at 1422 E. Grayson St., will manage the five-year contract, officials of the Charlotte, N.C.-based company announced Thursday.
Under the contract, which starts Oct. 1 and will take about one year to implement, NationsBank will offer banking services to U.S. military personnel on bases in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Panama and Diego Garcia, an island in ...
