DUBLIN, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1995--GENOTROPIN(TM) (somatropin (rDNA origin) for injection), a recombinant growth hormone developed by Pharmacia, received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) marketing clearance for the long-term treatment of children who have growth failure due to an inadequate secretion of endogenous growth hormone. Recent studies indicate approximately one in every 3,500 children is growth hormone deficient.
