SPRINGFIELD - Ultimately, the Richard E. Wildish Community Theater is expected to turn a profit.
But for now, the people in charge of the year old venue are satisfied that the theater is turning heads in downtown Springfield.
They're also pleased that dozens of performance and business groups have found the theater appropriate for a wide variety of shows and events.
"We never expected to break even in the first year," said Tom Draggoo, president of the Springfield Renaissance Development Corp., the volunteer nonprofit group that raised about $2.5 million in grants and donations to open the Wildish ...
